Mexican and Czech nationals travel to and transit through Canada.

As an announced by the Canadian authorities, beginning on July 14, 2009, Mexican and Czech nationals will require a visa (TRV/Temporary Resident Visa) to travel to, and transit through Canada.(Transit through will include those passengers directly transiting Vancouver on Japan Airlines JL012 and JL011) For further information concerning VISA issuance, please contact the local Canadian Embassy.

Special Handling in relation to the influenza A(H1N1)
Japan Airlines is cooperating closely with relevant authorities to stay updated with the latest information and will take appropriate actions where required.Special arrangements for a comfortable flightIn light of the outbreak of the influenza (A/H1N1), JAL has taken special measures to ensure a comfortable flight.
·The air-cleaning systems onboard JAL aircraft have been fitted with the highest grade of filter that has been authorised by aircraft makers, to ensure the air in the cabin remain clean.
Quarantine procedures at the Airport
1. Quarantine procedures at the AirportThe Japanese government has been announced a new policy on battling of influenza A(H1N1).The onboard quarantine procedures that have been conducted for flights originating from Mexico, USA (excluding Hawaii/Guam), Canada and Brazil is now suspended from May 22 , 2009. With the exception when advance information is provided about passengers suffering fevers and other flu-like symptoms are observed prior to arrival.The submission of Questionnaire on Health Conditions is also suspended from June 19, 2009.
2. Quarantine procedures at overseas airports.Passengers may be required to measure body temperature and submit a quarantine questionnaire at some airports according to instructions given by the local authorities. Additionally passengers may be required to undertake a quarantine inspection by health officers in the cabin on arrival and prior to disembarkation. We would like to ask for your understanding that disembarkment may require additional time to complete a quarantine inspection in the cabin.Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
3. Increased Quarantine procedures at Mainland China Airports (not including Hong Kong).Increased levels of Quarantine screening on arrival at Mainland China Airports (not including Hong Kong) may result in passengers with flu-like symptoms, such as a high fever, being quarantined at local hospitals or hotels. We would like to ask for your cooperation and understanding that prior to departure; passengers with flu-like symptoms may be refused boarding depending on their health conditions. New restrictions on liquids, gels and aerosols as carry-on baggage

Dear PassengerThank you for flying Japan Airlines.

In accordance with the regulations legislated by each country, this restrictions described below are imposed on liquids, gels and aerosols carried on board aircraft departing from each country .*Liquids, gels and aerosols may be checked-in if they are securely packed to prevent damage. Passengers must pack them themselves.It would be taken a longer time than usual to go through the security checkpoint, so come to the airport before enough time to the departure.

*1 JL051/052(Osaka(Kansai)⇔Tokyo(Narita)), JL053/054/055/056(Nagoya(Chubu)⇔Tokyo(Narita)) are also applicable because these are regarded as international flights.*2 EU Counrties areAustria,Belgium,Cyprus,Czech Republic,Denmark,Estonia,Finland,France,Germany,Greece,Hungary,Romania,Bulgaria, Ireland,Italy,Latvia,Lithuania,Luxembourg,Malta,Netherlands,Poland,Portugal,Slovakia,Slovenia,Spain,Sweden,United KingdomAnd in Norway,Iceland and Switzerland are also applicable.
